Here’s what some lovely people have had to say about learning from me!
“My private yoga lessons with Beth teaching were great. She helped me a lot with a nagging injury – the stretches we did were perfect. I liked the yoga too. Relaxing but not too easy and she made it work well for me and my body. She has a nice voice.
My schedule required sessions that included both massage and yoga, otherwise I would have been happy to take regular lessons with Beth on a permanent basis.”

“I loved my weekly lessons with Beth for 6 months in 2013. I always enjoyed the extremely relaxing yoga and her personable and flexible manner of teaching – if it had been in the budget, we would have had lessons every day. I always finished class feeling so much better then at the start - anyone who takes lessons with Beth is in for a huge treat!”

“Taking a yoga class from Beth was probably one of the best investments I made in my mind and body. I had tried yoga before with videos on DVDs and online, but there was no one to tell me if I was going it right or if I was going to injure myself. Beth has a very calming teaching style that slows you down from your hectic life for you to really focus on the yoga itself without distraction. The way she works through every movement and pose really helped me understand the “why” behind each motion. I enjoyed the session with Beth not only for the calming, centering healthy effects of the yoga, but also because I did not feel like I was being talked down to or made to feel silly that I didn’t know exactly what I was doing. If you are looking to start up with private yoga lessons, I would absolutely recommend Beth Freeman from Fan the Ember to everyone I know.”

Beth’s love and knowledge of yoga are radiantly evident in the form and content of her teaching. Equally evident are her compassion, authenticity, and genuine desire to help people, by sharing the power and broad applicability of yoga. I especially appreciated her approach of tailoring her instruction based on my goals. She obviously has a breadth and depth of knowledge in her “yogic repertoire” which, combined with her palpable intuition, allows her to respond dynamically and accurately to the student’s feedback and desired area of focus. I felt that this was immensely helpful, and very impressive, to boot. Highly indicative of her passion for yoga. In short, Beth is the genuine article. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering yoga instruction.

John and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the outstanding yoga lesson the other day. We were really impressed with your knowledge (and patience) as you guided us through the different poses and breathing techniques. For beginners, such as ourselves, this was so much better than trying to learn in a large group setting, since the lesson was tailored around our specific needs and skill level. We will definitely recommend ‘Fan the Ember’ to friends and family, and especially those that are new to yoga. A great experience!

My wife and I contacted Beth Freeman at the beginning of the year with the idea of testing the waters for yoga instruction. We were complete newbies and looking for private in-home classes for just the two of us.
After the first week, we signed up for weekly classes and have been meeting Beth in our home for a month now and plan to continue.
Beth is really great to work with and has been very happy and eager to adapt the classes to meet our needs. We always finish our 75 minute classes feeling refreshed and great.
I think the price we pay is very fair considering that Beth travels to to our home and on our schedule.
I got more then my money’s worth – Very pleasant to work with – No complaints, no surprises, great for newbies – Thanks!

Beth brings a natural gift of athleticism and a passion to her yoga practice. She understands the physical mechanics of poses and brings integrity to her teaching. Beth is capable of adapting yoga classes to fit the needs of the students. She can encourage and challenge advanced students to stretch and grow in a pose, and at the same time, adapt the pose to the level of others. She has an excellent grasp of cuing, visualizations, building balanced and creative vinyasas and gently and tactfully adjusting students in their pose.
